Modern Warfare 2 will include the controversial Overwatch 2 feature

Activision Blizzard Edition for Monitor 2 A number of issues were hampered, including a controversial requirement for players to register a phone number. This requirement has frustrated some players, as prepaid phones are not eligible. After the rejection, Activision offered indulgence to existing players, but it looks like this model will be the standard for the company’s other games, including call of duty modern warfare 2. as such computer games I noticed for the first time, that the Battle.net page of Phone notifications menus modern war 2 As a game requires a phone number to access.

The company’s official website reads, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, newly created Overwatch 2 accounts, and newly created Call of Duty: Modern Warfare accounts require a phone number.”

The rationale behind this new requirement is that it can help the publisher reduce fraud. Since phone numbers can only be registered once, it makes it difficult for players to get around the ban by creating a new account. Unfortunately, this move also acts as a payment wall, making it so that players can enjoy games like modern war 2 or Monitor 2 If they can afford the monthly phone plan.

Activision will likely walk away from that requirement if there are enough negative reviews, but it’s hard to say how many players that will affect. It’s great that the company has taken such strides to prevent cheating, but for players who have been with the Call of Duty series for a long time, it’s easy to see how frustrating this can be. For now, players will only have to make their voices heard on social media if they want to see Activision Blizzard’s reverse path.

call of duty modern warfare 2 Releases October 28th on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S and PC. In the meantime, you can check out all of our previous coverage of the game here.
