Houston, Texas — Thanks to its relative proximity to the coast, Houston has always had a culture of underground surfing (whether it’s shortboards, longboards, or even tank browsing). Now, those who walk their noses and shredded it can reach a new world-class surfing destination Generation Garden in North Houston.
The video shown above is from a previous report.
HTX Surf It will be heading to Generation Park in the fall of 2024, according to an announcement by Beach Street Development, the company is pushing barefoot life with artificial surfing lagoons.
Why the North Houston locale, versus closer to Galveston? Beach Street indicates in press materials that the lake park is located just 10 minutes from the Bush Intercontinental Airport, making it easy for visitors from all over the world to access.
