Ryan Reynolds revealed his birthday present for Hugh Jackman this year. Today is the 54th flight of the Wolverine star around the sun, and his friend decided to release a trailer for Spirited to celebrate the occasion. On Twitter, Reynolds joked that he’s going to do some singing and dancing like his friend, but nowhere near as well. (From the look of things, the Marvel actor has been working on it quite a bit.) This holiday movie will star Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer alongside Reynolds. It looks like Apple TV+ has taken a big hit on their hands. Fans are very familiar with Ferrell’s other Christmastime work. Check out the trailer for yourself here!
Reynolds managed to catch up with Forbes after this massive announcement that hit the airwaves. “I couldn’t be more excited,” he told the outlet. “I mean, in particular, doing it this way. Ultimately, I work with some of my best friends in the world, and it doesn’t happen every day working in the field.”

“I’m thrilled I’ve been sitting on these two teasers for a few weeks now,” Reynolds added. “It’s one of those moments where you send a tweet or a post – your hand trembles when you mess with the zeitgeist in a way like that… I feel the same way as fans do, though. I’m so glad this character is coming back for another ride, especially In that context. I think it’s something people have wanted for a long time, to have this pairing on the big screen, and that’s what we’re aiming to do.”
Fans all over the internet have been buzzing about this ad ever since it was posted. Kevin Smith, one of those huge fans, said that Jackman is the gold standard when it comes to the X-Men universe.
