Black Adam’s Aldis Hodge wants a Hawkgirl and Mr. Cool in DC movies

Over the years, there have been an increasing number of characters or relationships that fans really wanted to see come to life in the DC’s live multiverse. This month black Adam Set to fulfill fan desires in a unique way, he brings members of the Justice Society of America, DC’s first superhero team, into the fold alongside Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam. As die-hard fans know, JSA boasts a prolific history and plenty of relationships in the comics — and it looks like Carter Hall/Hockman actor Aldis Hodge wants two of the main characters on screen. While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter during black AdamAt the movie’s red carpet premiere, Hodge was asked which characters he’d like to see brought into the fold after Black Adam.

Hodge revealed “Mr. Fantastic”. “His background is amazing. So is Hawk’s girl.”

Who is Mister Cool in DC Comics?

Mister Terrific Mantle has been held multiple times in DC Comics – first by Terry Sloane, a modern-day Renaissance man who uses his various skills to fight crime and help disadvantaged youth, and later joined the JSA. Then Terry succeeded Michael Holt, an Olympic athlete and certified genius who was inspired by the story of his predecessor, who used miniature devices called T-Spheres. He took the name Mister Terrific and joined the JSA, soon becoming its president and developing a relationship with Hawkman in the process. He later became one of the chief officers of Checkmate, and recently formed his fantastic team akin to the Fantastic Four and called it The Terrifics.

A version of Michael, named Curtis, was portrayed by Echo Kellum on The CW’s Arrow. Both versions of Mister Terrific have also appeared in several films and animated shows.

Who is Hawkgirl in DC Comics?

Hawkgirl’s mantle in the pages of DC Comics is somewhat more complicated – the mantle was first held by Shiera Sanders Hall, Carter’s wife and immortal soulmate. The pair have worked together for decades, and their complicated pasts were subverted multiple times in the Silver Age of comics and beyond, eventually creating another Hawkgirl named Shayera Hol. Both are later succeeded by Kendra Saunders, a young Latina woman and member of the Chiera family who develops Hawkman powers when Shira’s spirit literally enters her body. She has been a permanent member of the JSA, Justice League, and Birds of Prey ever since.

Interestingly, Hawkgirl was originally expected to appear on the JSA roster in black AdamJohnson tweeted in 2020 that those plans somehow fell apart, which led to Maxine Hunkel/Cyclone (Quintessa Swindell) joining the group instead.
