This means buying a new home with her granddaughter Alison (Andy Maticek) and trying to set it up with Cory (Rohan Campbell), who has been similarly ostracized from society. After only one year Halloween kills, Corey was tending to a young boy and accidentally kicked him down the stairs, with the child falling to his death. While Corey escaped from prison, the city was still holding him accountable for his death.

After encountering a chance with the hider Michael Myers, Corey is inspired to kill those who stand in his way. Meanwhile, Laurie tries to put her past behind her and move on, which includes embracing her fondness for Officer Hawkins (Will Patton). He told her that almost dying had given him a new appreciation for life, which inspired him to learn Japanese who would probably visit the impressive cherry blossom trees someday.

When Laurie realizes that Cory is headed down a dark path, she tries to stop his relationship with Alison, which leads to him trying to kill her as well. Fortunately, she defends herself from Cory, who takes his life in front of her. However, with Cory taking on Michael Myers’ mask to commit the murders, the real Myers returns and confronts Laurie. After a fierce fight, Laurie pins Michael to a table and slits his throat while Allison slashes his wrists until he bleeds. His body is then taken to a landfill and dumped in a garbage compactor to be completely destroyed once and for all.

After Laurie finally kills Michael 44 years after their initial collision, Hawkins arrives to take care of her injuries and injuries. With Allison Haddonfield leaving in the wake of Michael’s destruction, Laurie asks Hawkins to tell her more about the cherry blossoms, with the film ending as the two finally share peace with each other.

Longtime fans of the series will surely be relieved that Laurie survived the encounter relatively safely, however those fans assuming her survival are bound to mean Jame Lee Curtis will eventually return to the role at some point in the future.
