HBO Max announces premiere date for season two of the critically acclaimed comedy

HBO Max has revealed when fans can expect a new season of the original comedy on the service. Last year, people enjoyed Somewhat, as director Bilal Beck’s Sabi Mahboub set sail for his life as a millennial in Toronto, Canada. The first season ended with some changes in the way of the main character. Their friend Bessie is awake from that coma and their father is also on the way from Dubai. It would be difficult for the group to deal with, but with the help of Seven and their friends, everything could work right… kind of. On Instagram, the star told fans that they can expect another batch of episodes on December 1. This might sound like a way away, but Halloween is only a few weeks away and then the holiday race begins. Check out the new season poster here below!

What is the theme of Sort Of Season 2?

Baig and Fab Filippo spoke to ET About what awaits Sabi now that their secret with their family is revealed. Looks like it’s love season for all the actors in Canada. However, questions about the Mehboob family’s patriarch remain in the background.

“After the incredibly endearing response to our first season, we can’t wait to share the next chapter in Sabi’s journey, and the evolution of all of our characters with our fans,” Paige and Filippo explained.

“Season two of the genre is the season of love. There’s love of friends and family and love of your job and love of a place and love of romance. So much love,” Paige continued. “Sabi is looking for a kind of love that is pure and simple, but love no matter how complex it may be.”

Here’s how HBO Max describes the show: “SORT OF follows the journey of ‘Sabi Mehboob’ (Baig), a seamless millennial who straddles different identities from a sexy bartender in an LGBTQ bookstore, to the youngest child in a large Pakistani family, to the actual parent of a loving family. In the middle of the city, Sabi feels like she is in transition in every aspect of her life, from sex to love to sexuality to family to career. Applicable… to anyone.”
