While broadcasting the Yankees’ loss of Game 2 to Guardians in the ALDS, Bob Costas looked at a young New York fan and said this was probably the worst thing that ever happened to him in his young life. But don’t worry, the series isn’t over yet.
Older and wiser Yankees fans know the worst may be yet to come. They’ve watched their team fall in the face in the playoffs once too much to be under the illusion that it can’t happen again this season.
So even though the series is tied for a 1-1 draw, even though the Yankees are far from it, plenty of fans are still gearing up for the impact, especially with the series heading to Cleveland.
the problem? An offense that has to be high-powered and continually fails in the big moments.

Clearly, one game isn’t a large enough sample size to say the New York attack would certainly dash the team’s playoff hopes. They scored four runs in Game 1 win. The bats could come back again as the weekend goes on.
It’s only concerning when crime has consistently let them down over the years despite all the investment and productivity seen during the regular season.
Watching Aaron Judge hit 62 home runs is meaningless if he goes to 0-for-5 by four strokes in the emergence of a crucial tiebreak. He’s already hit eight times in just two games.
