Oklahoma fans remain unhappy despite their much-needed win over Kansas
Philadelphia Phillies fans were ecstatic after the team advanced to the NLCS by defeating rivals and defending champion Atlanta Braves.
The Philadelphia Phillies were the last team in 2022 to clinch a post-season berth. They then achieved a massive surprise in the Wild Card series, sweeping St. in the NLDS.
The Philadelphia Magic Race was not performed in the post-season. Not even close to it.
On Saturday, they defeated the Braves 8-3 in Game 4 to advance to the NLCS for the first time in 12 years. To make this feat even sweeter, they dispatched heroes to do so.
The Phillies fans were understandably pumped up with the win.
Velez fans lose it after the team advances to NLCS
The Phillies got the best start fans could ask for. At the bottom of the second half, defensive line Brandon Marsh pummeled an 83.4-mph curveball thrown by Charlie Morton and sent it over the fence in the right center field to give Philadelphia an early 3-0 lead.
After a singles run at home by Orlando Archia at the top of third, Philadelphia’s good vibes continued into the bottom of the half after catcher JT Realmoto hit an in-park run to extend their lead to 4-1.
Help Philadelphia secure victory with a sixth inning of three singles rounds by Rhys Hoskins, Bryce Harper, and Realmuto. Harper then made the final score official with a singles race at home in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Relief bowler Seranthony Dominguez rounded out the team’s trip to the NLCS by defeating Dansby Swanson, Matt Olson and Travis Darno for ninth.
What a year for sports fans in Philadelphia. The undefeated Eagles enter week six, and Phillies head to the NLCS. The Phillies will now play the winner of the San Diego Padres-Los Angeles Dodgers series.
