WWE wrestlers like Roman Reigns, Seth Freakin’ Rollins and Becky Lynch have all become household names over the past decade, with each superstar scooping multiple world titles, Best Match of the Year and a treasure chest full of accolades and accolades. But, long before Reigns and Rollins debuted as members of The Shield, and before Becky Lynch became “The Man” or “Big Time Becks,” they were all rising stars in the making. The same can be said about some of the younger members of the WWE roster, whether they are on NXT or have been called up to Raw and SmackDown.
Below is a list of eight rising stars in WWE, we’re excited about those who rose through the ranks, played massive matches and demonstrated so much potential during the early stages of their careers. With superstars from wrestling dynasties to those making a name for themselves in the squared circle, here are the WWE Superstars who have no roof over their careers…
Solo Sequoia
Solo Sikoa has only been with WWE since August 2021, and has only been on the main roster since September 2022, but the member of The Bloodline has already established himself as one of WWE’s most interesting superstars and one with the most potential. Real brother of Jimmy and Ji Uso, son of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, and undisputed cousin of WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Sikoa quickly rose through the ranks and followed in the footsteps of other greats from the prestigious Anoa. Wrestling dynasty.
There’s a lot to like about Sikoa barely a year into his career, including his pedigree, his range of moves and his undeniable charisma both in and out of the ring. It all helped Sikoa achieve his first NXT title win in September 2022, when he defeated Carmelo Hayes for the NXT North America Championship, despite forced to evict The belt after seven days.
Braun Breaker
NXT Champion Bron Breakker is another rising WWE wrestler who is likely to be the world champion at some point in the next five years. The Breakker, son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott Steiner, looks like he was right there with the Steiner Brothers when they controlled the label divisions of the WWF and WCW in the ’90s. With a combination of his family legacy, high school state championship wrestling, and a brief stint with the Baltimore Ravens, it’s no surprise that Breaker has dominated NXT since his WWE debut in 2021.
Even though he’s still sitting at the top of the NXT food chain with his powerful style and electric personality, it wouldn’t be shocking to see a second-generation talent called up to the main roster sooner rather than later, which would make for a revitalized WWE. More exciting going forward.
schozzy
Previously by Shotzi Blackheart in NXT, Shotzi has been one of the must-see superstars in WWE since her debut in 2019. And no, it’s not because she rides the ring in a weird tank. Schutzi, the 2020 NXT Breakout star and former NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion, has continued to climb through the ranks since her first appearance on the main roster, and has continued to find herself in some notable matches such as the Royal Rumble and Women’s Money in the 2022 Bank Ladder match later in the year. .
With Survivor Series and the 2023 Royal Rumble on the horizon, we can expect to see more Shotzi moving forward, and that’s great news for fans of dynamic gladiators with incredibly interesting characters and ring style.
Holland and Butch Ridge
Ridge Holland and Butch, the two younger members of Sheamus’ stable Brawling Brutes, have established themselves as one of the hottest tag teams in WWE today. And with the way things have been for the faction lately (especially with that show thief against Imperium at Extreme Rules), it seems that the tandem of tough and tough is here to stay.
Although they lack the same amount of experience as the Brawling Brutes, Holland is by no means green in the ring. After spending several years in NXT honing his craft, he was called up to the main roster in late 2021 and was soon paired with Sheamus, a hit. On the other hand, Butch is one of the top wrestlers on the WWE payroll, having spent the past six years with the company, earning multiple titles and year-end awards under the name Pete Dunne.
Nikita Lyons
Nikita Leones has only been in NXT for a short time, but has quickly become one of the hottest members of the brand’s female roster since debuting in 2021. What she lacks in experience, Leon more than makes up for it with natural charisma, which comes in handy behind microphone.
With the women’s rosters on Raw and SmackDown both now stacked up, expect to see Lyons hanging out at NXT for a little while longer. But don’t consider this a bad thing, as it will give her plenty of time to fine tune her work inside the ring and stabilize her more.
Carmelo Hayes
Carmelo Hayes has made the most of his short time in WWE. Since his debut in 2021, Hayes has won the NXT North American Championship twice, held the Cruiserweight Championship (which he later reunited with the North American Championship), and played major roles in some of the brand’s biggest matches in some time.
With WWE Superstars on the smaller side getting more and more attention these days, Hayes, who is a bit shorter, is going to be a hit, now in NXT, and later in WWE. There is still some fine-tuning that needs to happen before the final call-up, but it’s only a matter of time before Hayes is on the big stage.
Dexter Loomis
Dexter Loomis, who returned to WWE in 2022, has had a severe rip since his comeback. Whether it’s causing havoc behind the scenes, getting caught in NXT, or ruining The Miz’s birthday party single-handedly, Lumis’s actions have been nothing short of chaos.
Lumis and the former WWE Champion are bound to have a showdown at some point, so it looks like the former NXT star is about to get into some serious stuff.
Dominic Mysterio
Dominic Mysterio, son of future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, has been going through again since turning heels in September 2022. We’ve previously seen flashes of greatness in a second-generation wrestler in the past, but he’s starting to reach new heights after turning on his father.
Mysterio still has a lot to improve and become more consistent if it wants to take things to the next level. Played right, all of this could lead to him challenging his father for a match with either his mask or his career on the line.
There is so much to get excited about when it comes to the rising WWE Superstars and others in the company. But, if you want to watch any of them in action at various upcoming WWE events, you will need a Peacock Premium subscription.
