Twitter interacts with Astros prevailing over Mariners in 18 inning-Game 3

There was a lot of reaction on Twitter regarding how long this game took and how hard the two teams could run on the scoreboard at T-Mobile Park.

Game 3 between the Astros and Mariners was historic, as it was the first post-season competition to be goal-free by 15 rounds, according to ESPN stats and information.

The Astros started Lance McCullers Jr., who hit seven and only allowed two hits in six complete innings. From there, manager Dusty Baker used seven different pitchers, not all of which allowed a single run. Luis Garcia had the longest run of them all, throwing five full runs and hitting six hits. Garcia also got the victory.

It was a tough way to end the Mariners season. This was a win-win streak for sailors. They did manage to score six runs off Justin Verlander in the first game after all, but they couldn’t close it. In Game 3, they did everything they could to stay in the chain to stave off elimination, including Impressive catch by Julio Rodriguez at the top of the 16th inning. But it wasn’t enough.

The Astros will now await the winner of the New York Yankees-Cleveland Guardians Series.
