Tennessee Lynnman’s use of vomiting to scare Alabama deserves more attention (video)

Countless soccer players have vomited on the field before, but one of Tennessee’s offensive linemen used it to intimidate against Alabama in an epic move.

Everything about Tennessee State upset Alabama was mastering college football. It doesn’t get any better than two of the season’s two giants excel over the course of 60 minutes and it all comes down to a single field goal to determine the winner. This is why Saturdays in the fall are the best days of the year.

The only thing that could make it better is discovering that one of the offensive linemen is vomiting on the field and using that as a means to intimidate the opponent. Lucky for us, that’s exactly what happened in the case of the Vols O-line.

Calligraphy Chief Staff Jeremiah Crawford was shown on camera at the rally at one point. He casually walked away from his teammates, vomited on the field, and then stared at the Alabama defense as he nodded, letting them know he was ready to quit next.

Tennessee OL vomits to scare Alabama (and may have succeeded)

This is certainly a tactic we haven’t seen before but proved very effective for Tennessee given that the offense ended the game by putting up 52 points in the win over Crimson Tide, the fourth most points conceded by Bama since then. 1900.

But let’s be honest, if a large, corn-fed, 6-foot-5, 315-pound Kansas-bred male looks straight at you with an intense nod that suggests physical warfare is coming after he vomits a shell, you probably aren’t going to feel good about what’s going to happen when you have to. To quarrel with this young man. So Crawford may be onto something.

For a game that has attracted attention for just about everything, from the many penalties, to brutal performances from Hendon Hooker, Bryce Young, Jahmyr Gibbs and Jalin Hyatt, to the rules being enforced from the stadium all the way to the Tennessee River, we still have to pay more attention. And show more love to vomit to intimidate.

It’s a global move, so put some respect on it.
