Strong womanEdward Norton’s finale was almost done as Bruce Banner. The Disney+ series flirted with dropping the fourth wall throughout the season, but a recreation of the original MCU structure would have sent fans into the stratosphere. direct I spoke to director Kat Cuero about this decision and the details are surprising. She says Mark Ruffalo actually thought it was a great idea, but things didn’t line up. Tim Roth referred to the exchange between the current Hulk and Norton. Even the show itself overshadowed the truth, but in the end Marvel just couldn’t make it. Maybe he’ll appear in Secret Wars down the road. Read her full account of the process below.
“There was a lot of talk about the fact that the last time they were together, there was a different actor playing the Hulk,” Cuero said. And Mark [Ruffalo] Make a few jokes about it. And we thought about replacing Mark with Edward Norton. But that didn’t happen.”
“Then the other thing that I think is great for people to know is that we shot that final sequence with everyone in the cabin at the beginning of filming,” she added. And all the actors were like, ‘What the hell is going on? And I had to say, ‘It doesn’t make sense, but don’t worry. That’s the point.” And that was really unique, from the director’s point of view, because you have to get people to trust you. But then you tell them, “That doesn’t make sense. It’s not supposed to happen. Just come with us on the journey.”

“I’ve been through several versions of this ending and I don’t remember what started it, but I do remember promoting She Hulk, because the show is so dead and it was always about breaking the fourth wall and she was always very inspired by the race as she had opinions about her story where she wanted to scream actively on its creators and changing things when they don’t do what’s happening,” she said. “I think I showed her she goes to Marvel Studios, Disney lot and she goes to talk to Kevin, and she first shows that she goes through all the security and then she goes to his office and we throw her in a cool glam like George Clooney in a tuxedo and drinking a martini.”
