Will one main Rogue character appear in Andor episode 7?

Star Wars: Andor Follows the dramatic story of Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) before his noble sacrifice for the Rebel Alliance during the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In this sense, star Wars Fans have been watching the Andor series on Disney+ with keen interest, looking to see if there are any major characters from rogue one He crosses paths with Cassian Andor before the fateful mission that will cost him and his followers their lives. and after Andor Episode 7 Star Wars fans are excited about one main character from rogue one It may have finally arrived!

Warning: Endor Episode 7 spoilers continue!

In “Announcement,” the Empire is left to fray after the audacious robbery by Cassian and his team at the imperial garrison at Aldhani. The Emperors are forced to begin viewing the rebel efforts as a major threat, while the organizers of the robbery (Mon Muthma, Luthan Rael) have to accept the fact that they have sparked a rebellion from which there is no turning back. Stuck in the middle are the actual people fighting the conflict, and for Andor this proves to be a situation sandwiched between a rock and a hard place. The Empire wanted Cassian for his crmes; Luthen wants to eliminate what he sees as a loose end in Cassian. Andor knows enough to go, and takes his share of the score to hide in luxury on the planet Niamos.

Unfortunately, Heaven turned out to be the exact trap that Cassian was trying to avoid. While trying to walk to his resort shop, he is stopped by an imperial soldier and Andor, who is mistaken for a local, is trying to escape detention. Cassian can’t get out of the situation fast enough before bringing in an Imperial KX series security robot to strangle and detain him.

Naturally, star Wars Fans saw this Imperial security robot interacting with Cassian Andor and assumed it was K-2SO, the Imperial robot that eventually became Cassian’s main partner. It’s a good assumption, but it’s ultimately a deceptive one: the scene itself shows several Imperial robots patrolling the area, suggesting that this is just an early bad encounter between Cassian with one of them – perhaps triggering his latest impulse to turn the Imperial robot’s power in his favour.

K-2SO will not appear in Andor season 1

This matter was actually settled early on, when Andor Showrunner Tony Gilroy and star Diego Luna both confirmed that K-2SO isn’t in Andor Season 1 at all, and explained why:

“From a storytelling standpoint, there are several reasons,” Tony Gilroy said at TCAs. “I’ve been saying, ‘Wait and see.’ It’s a story we long to tell. It’s hard to carry an imperial robot with you and not attract all sorts of attention. It’s a tough piece of baggage. When we do that, we’re going to do it in an amazing way instead of presenting and ignoring, presenting or hiding, Or the bad copies that we would have had to do… We started it way too far from someone who knows how – or is motivated to do so – to reprogram the Imperial Robot.”

Luna added the logistical insight that Cassian Andor’s schedule does not allow him to meet K-2SO early: “We have five years [before the events in Rogue One] … If he had known K2 previously, there would be no trip for him to go through.”

So no, that wasn’t K-2SO in Andor Episode 7. Just a reminder of how bad we want him to get into Season 2.

Andor Season 1 airs new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+.
