Persona 5 Royal – one of the most popular JRPGs of all time – is heading to Xbox this week. The beloved SEGA and Atlus game launches on Friday, October 21, and will be available on Xbox Game Pass. The exact Xbox Game Pass release time has yet to be confirmed, but it has been revealed when Persona 5 Royal will be available on Steam.

According to the countdown timer on the Steam page for the P5R, the game will open on the Valve platform at 4AM GMT/5AM CST on Friday, October 21.

It remains to be seen if this will be the same for the Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions of Persona 5 Royal.

Regarding Game Pass releases, Microsoft does not have a specific time when new games will be added to the service.

But recently, some big-name games that launched on Game Pass at 5pm UK time on release day have been added.

The games that fell at this time were Sam Barlow’s indie horror hit Immmality, Arkane Studios, and Bethesda’s Deathloop.

If you want to prepare for the release of Persona 5 Royal on Xbox, the pre-download is now available.

Like Deathloop, Persona 5 Royal is a PlayStation exclusive previous version.

Persona 5 debuted on PS4 and PS3 in 2016 in Japan, with a global release in 2017. Persona 5 Royal then arrived in 2019 on PS4 in the Land of the Rising Sun with other regions getting the enhanced game the following year.

Persona 5 Royal is the definitive version of Persona 5, adding new characters, additional gameplay mechanics, and more story content.
