It’s been almost six years since we lost Carrie Fisher. The actress was the daughter of Debbie Reynolds and mother of Billie Lourd, truly a legendary family of actresses. Today will be Fisher’s 66th birthday, and in honor of her late mother, Lourdes, she made an honest and stoic tribute to star Wars an actress.
Lord wrote about the struggle with grief and how it’s okay not to feel good. She sent love to anyone who has experienced grief, and posted an adorable picture of her with her mother.
Losing someone, especially parents, is never easy. I think a lot of people, including myself, could relate to what Lord wrote in her explanation. Her mother and grandmother were incredibly lovable actresses, and now Lorde is, and seeing her pay tribute to her family and those going through something similar is heart-warming.
Along with the actress’ post, many of her famous friends commented on their love for her and her mom, including Kaitlyn Dever. Lord was part of critically acclaimed Box Mart cast with Dever, and the two will share the screen again in one of the rom-coms on 2022 movie schedule Heaven ticket. Posted:

Lorde now has a little one of her own, and it’s clear that her mother’s legacy lives on in their family.
