Gotham Knights teases another member of the Batfamilly family in an Easter egg

Gotham Knights She has a number of DC Comics Easter eggs, but one Easter egg actually shows another member of the Batman family. The new Batman-focused game was launched by Warner Bros. Montreal, where players can play as Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl and Robin as the four heroes grapple with the death of Batman. The four protagonists are stationed in the Belfry Tower, a living/headquarters area located in the Old Wayne Tower. The bell tower is filled with many Easter eggs to the capital’s traditions, including Black Canary posters and even a Wonder Woman apron in the kitchen.

The Belfry also contains many photos of a surprising member of the Batfamily. Near the kitchen area are several pictures mounted on the wall, many of which show pictures of a young Dick Grayson. Three of these photos show a rooster with a large German Shepherd, including one of you with the dog as a puppy.

Longtime Bat fans recognize this dog as Ace the Bat-Hound, Batman’s longtime companion. Ace first appeared in the 1950s and occasionally appeared in Batman comics after constant reboots, with no references to his previous DC canon history. Ace is also mentioned in Batman: Arkham Knight, Where his doggie bowl can be seen is in Batman’s office.

Unfortunately, Ace does not show itself in Gotham Knights. Either Ace is enjoying a quiet stay at another location owned by Bruce Wayne or he has predated his old master in the afterlife.

Our review of the Gotham Knights noted that gestures to continuity were one of the game’s strengths, noting that “the greatest strength in Gotham Knights It is the way he deals with the four protagonists of the game. Each of the four characters has distinct personalities that largely go along with the comics, and there are plenty of nods to their common and individual history in the game. However, the review also noted that the combat felt ‘confusing and frustrating’ and that the game’s large open world is ‘simply there’ rather than being a huge attraction.

Gotham Knights Now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC.
