My Hero Academia star is dismantling Twice’s mega role in Season 6

For six seasons, voice actor Daiichi Endo has been bringing to life a famous villain My hero academia Standing in Twice, a refined opponent who had a fun personality but powers that made him a dangerous entry into the League of Villains. In the final episode of Season 6, Twice met an unfortunate end while fighting Hawks, the second hero who went undercover to learn the secrets surrounding the superhero Liberation Front, and Endo didn’t hold back when it came to contemplating the villain’s demise during his interview with Weekly Shonen Jump.

As for the villain, Twice had a tearful death scene in which he was struck by the Hawks and one of his sharp blades he could use as a stabbing weapon. Before the lovable antagonist left this deadly coil, he was able to enjoy a touching moment with Toga, the blood-drinking villain who had a close relationship with Twice. Although Twice is dead, the war is far from over, Hawks are now fighting against a fire-bearing Dabi, and Shigaraki hasn’t entered the fight yet. With the heroes having the upper hand thanks to launching a surprise attack on the supernatural liberation front, Shigaraki’s forces are still in the game.

Endo said this when he recorded the installment that saw Twice die, having previously read the manga and knowing what fate would befall his evil anime character:

“That day, I didn’t even want to go to the studio (laughing nervously). Because I knew I was going to suffer! While I was recording, I put in all the suffering and doubts that have always defined Twice, and so I guess those ended up being my feelings too. And before A few months ago, we had our very own VA reality event, which I think strengthened our bond even more.”

To elicit his feelings, Twice’s voice actor detailed his feelings when he read about the demise of his characters in the manga created by mangaka Kohei Horikoshi:

“When it came to the manga, I chose not to read chapters that focus on heroes, so I also felt this ‘anger’ at the way they act. I know villains are villains and they’re going to be defeated in the end, but Twice kept fighting for his friends until the end, So I ended up clinging to the idea that maybe things would turn out differently for him.”
