end of the season Dragon House Now available to watch on HBO Max, Queen Aliscent (Olivia Cooke) has made a final attempt to keep the peace between her and Princess Rhinera Targaryen (Emma Darcy) despite the fact that she helped her son usurp the crown from her former best friend’s daughter-in-law. It’s hard to believe how close Rhaenyra and Alicent were to the beginning of the series, but the ending brought back an important moment of their friendship. When Otto Hightower (Rhys Evans) came to Rhinera on Aliscent’s behalf in an attempt to get her to accept Aegon as her king, he shared a page from the book they read together in Episode 1.
“Queen Aliscent has not forgotten the love she once had for each other,” Otto told Rinera. “There is no need for bloodshed, so that the world can go on in peace.” Although Rhaenyra does not accept the offer, she also does not decline it, telling Otto that she will give King’s Landing her answer the next day. Of course, there’s no way he’ll accept the peace offer after the way the episode ended, and this will likely be the last time we’ll see any attempt at healing between Rhaenyra and Alicent. Is Queen Aliscent evil?
Before Oliva Cooke took on the role of Queen Alicent, she played Emily Carey, who defended her character in an interview with diverse.
The actor explained, “Marrying Viserys is an option. But it was never her choice. It was chosen by the men around her. How much misogyny Rhaenyra has, Alicent gets just as much,” the actor explained. “I read the books. In the future, you make some questionable choices – let’s put it this way,” she added with a laugh. “But that’s not the teen I’m playing. I’m playing her early in her life.” Villain Origin Story, “In quotes, because I personally don’t think the Aliscent I’m playing is a villain.” They continued, “What’s so sad about this whole situation is these two young women, neither of them are in control at any time. Their lives are basically dictated by their parents.”
Olivia Cooke added of the official: “I think she has a real love for Viserys.” Game of thrones Audio notation. “I think the fondness and love has really grown, but I think that’s also because they have these kids,” she explained. “But also, Alicent is almost like Viserys’ primary supervisor now on his various ailments.”
“But I don’t know if she respects him. I don’t know if she thinks he’s the best governor,” Cook continued. “I think she thinks he’s too weak and that’s probably because of the way he’s handling his relationship with Rhaenyra. He’s so blinded by his love for his kids that he doesn’t see their faults.”
