Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler co-host Season 2 of Baking It

Peacock announced the second season of the original baking contest series, “Baking It,” co-hosted and executive produced by Maya Rudolph and Amy Poehler. Season two premieres on broadcast tape on Monday, December 12.

The series’ second season marks the first time the Emmy Award winners have hosted a show together. Poehler replaced fellow Saturday Night Live and Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samburg, who co-hosted the first season with Rudolph. In addition, a special episode of “Baking It” will air on December 12 at 10 PM EST/PT on NBC. On the holiday special, Maya and Amy invite their famous friends to a “cele-bake” the holidays in a friendly contest to raise money for their charities.

The show is produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio, a division of the Universal Studio Group, jointly with Paper Kite Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment. Buehler, Rudolph, Nicole Yaron, Babe Wells, Kate Arnd and Dave Becky serve as executive producers.

Fubo Sports Network has announced a multi-year deal with former basketball player Gilbert Arenas and basketball personality Josiah Johnson, hosts of its popular streaming TV show and podcast, Don’t Chill With Gilbert Arenas. Season 3 premieres with special guest Victor Oladipo of the Miami Heat on Thursday, October 27 at 3PM ET/Noon PT on Fubo Sports Network on YouTube and Sunday, October 30 at 7 PM EST/PT on her linear channel. Additional guests will join in new episodes every week. In addition to the weekly episodes, Arenas and Johnson will host live programming during the NBA season about events such as the NBA All-Star Weekend, the Playoffs, the Draft, the Summer League including viewing parties, interviews, and more.

ONE Championship has announced a broadcast partnership with Globo’s Combate, making it the exclusive distributor for ONE martial arts events in Brazil. The multi-year agreement, which is set to begin in January 2023, provides for 12 prime-time events per year to be broadcast. “This multi-year agreement will give our Brazilian fan base an opportunity to connect with ONE like never before as we present at least 12 major events each year,” said Chatri Sittodtung, Chairman and CEO of ONE Championship. “Brazil is one of the most passionate martial arts regions in the world, and with a best-in-class partner like Globo that distributes our content, we will be able to reach the widest possible audience in a very important market for ONE.”

Combate, Globo’s provider of premium combat sports and pay-per-view content in Brazil, will provide relevant coverage across Globo’s free, digital, and pay-TV channels.

Hallmark Media’s annual holiday programming list began “Countdown to Christmas” last weekend, elevating the Hallmark Channel to the cable network’s most-watched entertainment network of the week on Total Day among women 18+. Additionally, the network’s Saturday night premiere, “We Wish You a Married Christmas,” was the most-watched entertainment program of the week among families, women 18+, and total viewers.

The Hallmark Channel’s “Miracles of Christmas” weekend launch of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries’ Countdown to Christmas reached 12.2 million unrepeated viewers. Additional highlights include the Friday night premiere of “Noel Next Door,” which has been ranked as the most-watched cable entertainment program of the day.

Programming

Nickelodeon and Mattel Television have announced that they have acquired a sequel to the live-action musical ‘Monster High The Movie’. The TV feature film will begin production in January in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and will air on Nickelodeon and air on Paramount+ in 2023.

“We are thrilled to tell our fans about the brutal next chapter of this beloved franchise,” said Zach Olin and Shauna Phelan, co-chairs of Nickelodeon & Awesomeness Live-Action. “Monster High’s message of embracing one’s own unique self is as important as ever, and we look forward to expanding the stories of these fan-favorite characters.”

Todd Holland will return as director and executive producer. Fred Sully, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Mattel Television; Phil Breman, Vice President of Direct Business Development at Mattel; Adam Bonet will also return as executive producers. The sequel script was written by Matt and Billy Eddy, with Holland and Eddie storyline.

ABC has announced its lineup of holiday programming titled two music-focused specials in December: “A Very Backstreet Christmas,” to celebrate the holidays with The Backstreet Boys, and “Finding Harmony,” a touching story featuring EGOT winner John Legend and David Brown, Founder of the Columbus-based Harmony Project. Disney will also begin its centenary celebration with “Rockin’ New Year’s Eve Dick Clark with Ryan Seacrest 2023” in the new year.

Other highlights include Disney’s holiday stop-motion show “Mickey Saves Christmas,” the return of “CMA Country Christmas” from Nashville, holiday-themed episodes of ABC’s favorite comedy and game shows and a special broadcast of “Home Alone” on Christmas Eve. . .
