Cthulhu: Death May Die – Fear of the Unknown launches on Kickstarter

CMON’s latest Kickstarter reveal has caused an uproar among the people, as there is a group of fans who have been waiting for more Cthulhu: Death May Die content. They got their wish by announcing Cthulhu: Death May Die Season 3 – Fear of the Unknown, a new indie game that has been teased to make some new tweaks to the original formula. Now the new campaign is live on Kickstarter, and it has already exceeded its $200,000 goal with another 14 days left. Those who wish to join can purchase the Unknowable Pledge in dollars, which will provide you with the base fund and all rewards for $100. You can check out Full campaign page here.

Cthulhu: Death May Die is a cooperative game for 1-5 players where your team of detectives tries to take down Elder One after cults summon him into our world. The original game included a bunch of cool miniatures and some really impressive Elder Ones to fight, and Season 3 introduces 6 new episodes and 2 new Elder Boxes. You can now also insert unknown enemies into episodes, which means you can add groups of monsters to any episode in any season.

You can find the official description of Cthulhu: Death May Die below:

“Sectarians have been diligent in preparing for this moment for some time. The Great Deity has arrived in their minds, a lost being in a different dimension, and given them the knowledge necessary to awaken it and bring it into our world, unleashing its infernal powers on the unsuspecting masses. In hindsight, the inquisitors found out.” The last rites began. But with a little luck, the deity might be weak for a moment after being summoned. Then they can shoot him in the face.

Cthulhu: Death May Die puts players in charge of inquisitors looking to defeat a great god who is summoned to Earth. They are late, because the summoning rite is already underway. But if they can gather enough evidence to find a weakness, or change the ritual enough to cause one, they can blow the deity to death before it gains a foothold. By working together, players will battle cultists, search for answers, and try to prevent their already broken minds from being distorted further.”
