God of War developer Ragnarok introduces an update to Picture Mode

God of War Ragnarok You will not have a photo mode at launch. Video games are very cool nowadays, and some people really like to shower or even enhance this beauty. Due to the fidelity and graphic details of many games, the developers began to create photo modes that allow you to pause the world and freely move the camera to take pictures. More advanced photo modes let you add lighting and filters, adjust the weather, time of day, and more. It’s a really cool tool and something that’s been added in most major releases these days. Unfortunately, God of War Ragnarok misses one.

Sony Santa Monica confirmed it God of War Ragnarok It will get photo mode, but it won’t be available at launch. This is very similar to the 2018 entry which also added a photo mode at launch. Due to the size of this game and the fact that it features multiple worlds for players to travel to with unique biomes and encounters, this might be a nuisance to some. Of course, it can also make up for the amount of spoiler images that will surely infect social media when the game is released, but nonetheless, it’s kind of a bug. However, it’s good to know that the team behind the game plans to add a portrait mode at some point, but is focused on getting the core experience out the door for now. No time window has been given for when it will be released, but hopefully it won’t be too long.

If we’re lucky, we could see a portrait mode release by the end of November or early December, but it’s really hard to tell at the moment. Either way, this will likely encourage fans to come back and replay the game so they can take some snapshots of the story or side quests they’ve already completed. Only time will tell how detailed the photo mode actually is, but Sony’s games usually have pretty subtle ones.

God of War Ragnarok PS4 and PS5 releases on November 9, 2022. Does the picture mode news change when you buy the game? Let me know in the comments or hit me up TwitterCade_Onder.
