This week’s episode of winchester He saw the team take on another unusual monster, but he also revealed a few things – a key connection to Akreda and that there are some secrets being kept amongst the team as well. Now, series showrunner Robbie Thompson teases that these secrets could end in tears — as well as music being associated with the season’s big threat.

In the episode, the team finds themselves dealing with Bori Baba, an entity they are not familiar with and not from the Lawrence, Kansas area of the world. She urges Latika to reach out to a home contact for help, but viewers soon discover that while the team believes Latika’s parents are dead, that may not quite be the case. Later, it was revealed that pirate radio DJ Rocking Roxy has a connection to Akreda and that the cool tunes she’s spinning may have a more sinister intent. There’s a lot to unpack and Thompson told ComicBook.com that while the secrets being kept may not end well, we’ll find out more about them very soon.
“Look, usually when people withhold information it usually ends up in tears and for sure, it’s something we found a lot in the parent family when secrets were kept between boys and that’s definitely something we’ll see happen to all of us,” Thompson said. unpacking its history over the course of this entire season and we’ll learn a lot more about it in Episode 6.”
And as for Roxy and Acreda? He says they are formidable enemies – and that the wireless hacking signal is very important.
“Acreda and Roxy are definitely massive enemies,” Thompson said. “The demons are afraid of them. Our heroes will have to put everything on the line if they are to survive this first season.”
He continued, “There is something that will be revealed about the actual radio signal to the pirates in later episodes, but it was a way, we really wanted it early on, when we started talking about it, we really wanted, as much as possible to tolerate, anyway, the music to be a character on the show. And this was a way to really integrate it into the plot of our show while not making any judgments about the good or bad nature of ’70s songs.”
