College Football Trouble Picks Week 9

We’re in for a big escalation in November leading up to the playoff, but our college football picks for Week 9 Show teams are still in jeopardy.

With many of the ranked teams out last week, minor chances of getting upset were a bit scarce. But that didn’t stop us from getting some results that shocked the college football world, perhaps the most notable being that LSU hurt Ole Mays. There were also close calls for Clemson and TCU, but they eventually survived.

We’re now getting ahead and trying to comb through our college football picks for Week 9. There will usually be two obvious picks here with two big contenders on the list with Georgia State, Florida, Michigan and Michigan. But instead, even with the stakes, I see both games being exceptionally one-sided in favor of the college football match contenders.

So what does that leave us with for our 9th week college football pick with a relatively light Saturday schedule? There are still some teams that could end up in trouble with waving red flags in these matches.

5. North Carolina Tar Heels

Opponent: Pittsburgh | Time: Saturday, October 29, 8 p.m. ET | Spread: UNC -3.5

Since North Carolina played in Week 0, they’ve now come out of their second farewell week of the season as they welcome a home at Kenan Stadium. If you remember, the first game after a week’s hiatus was the only loss of the season for the Tar Heels as they were defeated by Notre Dame.

Now they come into this match with Panthers and the feelings are eerily similar. Not only is the point spread roughly in the same range but Pitt is a physical team that wants to beat opponents to submission, like the Fighting Irish. And UNC had a nightmare time dealing with that.

Make no mistake, Drake May is one of the best quarterbacks in the country and this offense should be scored. Concerns remain over the defense, however, in a tough and challenging match, fans at Chapel Hill should be a little concerned about the potential annoyance.
