Vampire Academy Opposed About Putting ‘Everything’ Into Season 1 Finale (Exclusive)

peacock vampire academy His first season wrapped up this week, starting from the penultimate episode last week with a shocking attack by a strigoi on St. Vladimir and a startling revelation of the mastermind behind it all. But as the season finale showed, these incredibles were just the tip of the iceberg in an action-packed episode that started strong and didn’t stop. With everything that happened in Ascension, it seemed like everything had been set on the table and according to series presenters Julie Plec and Marguerite MacIntyre, they packed everything they wanted into that intense final episode, leaving things in a stellar second season.

Warning: spoilers for the first season finale of vampire academy behind this point.

As the penultimate episode revealed, Tatiana Vogel (Anita Joy Awaja) was the mastermind of nearly all of the season’s events. It is the force behind the increase in strigoi attacks as well as the death of the Dragomir family, although it is revealed that Andre Dragomir (Jason Diaz) is not dead after all and was her prisoner. The epilogue reveals that she was pumping him for information to prepare herself to take the crown, something she eventually ends up doing. The final episode sees Queen Marina (Bek Sin Lim) poisoned, Lisa (Daniela Nieves) wanting and rushing, Saint Vlad a mess, Andre transformed into Stryjoy, and Tatiana being crowned the new queen – and mysteriously planning to have a very short reign. In short, it’s a mess, but nothing is left.

“I don’t think we really left anything out because what was so cool about nine was kind of like a final nine. I think if we had finished in the nine it would have been a good end,” McIntyre said. “So I felt like letting 10 be the thing that solves season two and pushes some things and leads to some things. Like the goal is to finish the episode and be like, I can’t wait to see where all these stories go.”

“I have to say, it’s one of the most beautiful broadcasts because you don’t have a 41-minute limit,” Blake added. “Had we known we had to commit to a 41-minute airtime, there would have been a lot of stuff left on the floor whether we filmed it or not, we wouldn’t have been able to make room for all this story beats. And I love that our finale is a little bit longer than the rest of the season. It’s closer. to an hour. It looks complete. We didn’t have to sacrifice Kill Your Darlings for it at all.”

What is the vampire academy Around?

From executive producers Julie Plec & Marguerite MacIntyre comes a story of friendship, romance and danger. In a world of privilege and magic, the friendship of two young women amazingly transcends their different chapters as they prepare to complete their education and enter the vampire society. One as a powerful royal, and the other as a half-vampire bodyguard trained to protect from the ferocious Strygoy who threatens to tear their community apart. That is, if royal infighting didn’t do the job first.
