Black Panther has another MCU blockbuster on the horizon with Wakanda Forever, and the first wave of Pop characters based on the upcoming movie that launched during the SDCC back in July. They followed it up with their best look yet at the new Black Panther costume out for a brief glimpse in the latest trailer. With the movie only weeks away at this point, Funko and Marvel have introduced a big second wave that includes Pop characters, Pop Rides, and keychains. There is a full breakdown of the wave below. Exclusives are highlighted.

For the previously released Funko Pops in the Wakanda Forever lineup. We will start with the new Black Panther, available for Pre-order here on Amazon And the Here on Entertainment Earth now. Of course, the question is – who is under the mask of the new black panther? The tags on top of this cute assortment of the suit are with the tags Shuri (Leetitia Wright) wore in the original movie, so it looks likely she’ll pick up where her brother T’Challa left off. This step will also follow a precedent set by the comics. Shuri became the Black Panther in the 2005 series of Reginald Hudlin and Junip Romita, Jr. after T’Challa was wounded in battle.

Looking forward to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Shuri Laetitia Wright is in the driver’s seat this time, and I recently spoke with diverse On how the movie honors Boseman:

“It’s an incredible honor for Chadwick Boseman,” she said. “It’s a jam full of exciting stuff. In November, he couldn’t have come sooner, so I’m excited to see you guys.”

Wright continued: “We honored him with our commitment to the story he started, the legacy he started with this franchise, and we committed every day to working hard no matter what the circumstances we faced. We faced a lot of circumstances. A. A lot of difficult situations, but we came together as a team. We put everything in this movie.”

In “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, “In Marvel Studios”, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fought to protect their nation from the interference of world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. The film stars Tenoch Huerta as Namor, the king of a nation hidden under the sea, and also stars Dominic Thorne, Michaela Cowell, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanale.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled for release on November 11, 2022. Ryan Coogler returns to direct Part Two and is also developing a new Marvel TV series for Disney+ that also takes place in the Wakanda universe. The film stars Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Winston Duke, Letitia Wright, Angela Bassett, Dominique Thorne, Michaela Cole, Florence Kasumba, Tenoch Huerta and Martin Freeman.
