“My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been full of monsters and adventures, and unfortunately I’m going to put up my medal and swords for Season 4,” Cavill said. “In my place, the wonderful Mr. Liam Hemsworth will take on the mantle of the white wolf. As with the greatest of literary figures, I pass the torch with respect for the time I have spent portraying Geralt and enthusiasm to see Liam take on this more brilliant and subtle than men.”
Cavill closed his post by saying that Geralt had “fantastic depth to him” and encouraged Hemsworth to “enjoy diving and seeing what you can find”.
