However, when the creator met with TV executives about the pilot, they told her they were sure it would fail.
Shonda Rhimes spoke on the podcast 9 to 5ish with Skimm (Opens in a new tab) About a nightmare-like meeting with network executives, she revealed why they didn’t think the public would handle the show. Remember Rhimes:
Shonda Rhimes said she was appalled that these CEOs seemed out of touch with them and yet they were making the decisions.
