Now that Halloween has come and the scary season is fading into the memory for another year, things are starting to shift towards all things winter and the holidays, especially when it comes to food and drinks. For coffee lovers, that means we’ve entered the time of year when popular chains start revealing and launching their festive season deals, and when it comes to Starbucks, we might be getting this year’s lineup sooner than one might think. On Instagram, snack blogger Markie Devo recently shared a preview of what’s being said about Starbucks’ winter menu, noting that the menu will be available starting Wednesday, November 2.
If the post is accurate — and it appears that some of what Devo shared was accurate, specifically the holiday merchandise and bottled coffee blends Starbucks confirmed recently — it appears that the coffee giant’s 2022 holiday lineup doesn’t seem to include any new drinks this year. Alternatively, there is a preferred yield of Peppermint Mocha, Caramel Brulee Latte, Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Chestnut Praline Latte, and Irish Cream Cold Brew. On the snack side, Snowman Cookie, Sugar Plum Cheese Danish, Reindeer Cake Pop, and Cranberry Bliss Bar are back and they’re joined by the new Chocolate Pistachio Swirl. Perhaps the most frustrating thing for fans is that there doesn’t seem to be any sign of the Gingerbread Latte or Eggnog Latte coming back. Eggnog Latte disappeared from the holiday list last year, much to the chagrin of fans.
Regarding the reported timing of the Starbucks holiday menu, if it actually arrived on Wednesday, it would be consistent with the arrival of last year’s holiday menu. Last year, Starbucks launched the 2021 Red Cup design, thus “officially” kicking off the holiday season on November 4.
As for other coffee companies and their holiday offerings, Caribou Coffee launched its holiday menu today (Monday, October 31). This year’s lineup includes Ho Ho Mint Mocha, Fa La Latte (an egg and espresso drink available hot, nitro or iced), Spicy Mocha, Iced Press with Egg Nog Cold Foam, Maple Waffle Breakfast Sandwich, Ho Ho Mint Cake Pop and Gingerbread Loaf Cake .
