2022 saw the merger between Warner Bros. and Discovery that put a lot of projects into question, one of the biggest being the return of Clone High. The surreal animated series that debuted on MTV has developed a cult following over the years, but few words have been revealed when it comes to whether the second season, already confirmed, might fall by the wayside after the series’ many influences. merger. Thankfully, creator Christopher Miller helped celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary by revealing news of the second season.
Clone High first appeared on the scene in the fall of 2002, as Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Bill Lawrence began telling the story of the historical clones who would attend the same high school. The main cast included teen versions of Abraham Lincoln, Joan of Arc, John F. Kennedy, Gandhi, Cleopatra, and more. While the series only had thirteen episodes to its name and never returned for a second season on MTV, HBO Max picks up where Miller, Lord, and Lawrence left off. This would work well considering how Season 1 ended with all the main characters locked up in a fridge, waiting to be released from their icy prison.

Miller and Lord have been enjoying a career after the arrival of Clone High, with the dynamic duo working on films including Cloudy with a chance of meatballs, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, The Mitchells Vs. Machines, LEGO Movie, and much more.
