Godzilla shows his strength in a new fight: Watch

Godzilla is having one of the best Christmases ever this year, and an awesome new short movie has made the famous Kaiju one of his strongest opponents yet! Godzilla first appeared in theaters across Japan in 1954, and each time Toho decides to celebrate the occasion with special features and more. This year has been particularly special, as Toho not only announced that they’ve been working on their next feature film in Godzilla for several years, but giant monster fans have got another special movie genre that takes its powerhouse to a whole new level.

As part of the Godzilla Fest 2022 event in Japan, director Takuya Uenishi screened a special 3DCG short film titled Godzilla vs Gigan Rex. A special sequel to a short film released in 2019 called “G vs. G,” this new movie sees a powered version of the famous Titan taking a more powerful version of Gigan called “Gigan Rex” along with a massive army of other smaller ones. It’s a cool new look for Kaiju, and you can check it out in action (with English subtitles) below:

GodzillaIt’s going to be pretty busy as Toho currently not only has a new movie project in the works for a scheduled release late next year, but Legendary’s MonsterVerse version of Titan will continue with new entries as well. Not only will this include a new TV series streamed with AppleTV+, but a new sequel is now in the works of Godzilla vs. Kong too.
