The first season of the new Game of thrones Spinoff series Dragon HouseIt finished recently and there will be some waiting before next season. Now that the series has been discontinued, many of the people involved in bringing it back to life are sharing some interesting facts about the production. You may have noticed that Ser Arryk Cargyll and Ser Erryk Cargyll are twins on the show, played by Luke and Elliott Tittensor. However, Luke eventually had to do double duty after his brother contracted COVID. Director Greg Yatanis recently spoke to West Westeros Podcast (via Entertainment WeeklyHe talked about having to switch actors.
In the end, the fight for the throne officially begins and Luke’s Arryk sides with Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) and the Greens while his brother Elliott Erryk picks Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and The Blacks. Erryk ends up stealing King Viserys (Paddy Considine)’s crown and giving it to Rhaenyra in Dragonstone, but he’s actually Luke instead of Elliott in the scene.
“There’s this scene, that big scene where Corlys [Steve Toussaint] They go down and put the signs on the table and the messenger comes in,” Yaitanis explained, “It was a bullet for two days and then one of them got the COVID virus.”[Elliott] He got COVID, so we swapped him with his brother.”
Yitanis went on to explain that there was additional confusion thanks to some of the names of the characters and actors. Luke Tittensor plays Arryk, but there is also a character named Luke Velaryon played by Elliot Grihault, not to be confused with actor Elliott Tittensor who plays Erryk. “The way this got to me was a phone game,” Yaitan joked. “This would have killed us,” he added, had Locke not been able to intervene on his brother’s behalf. “We were about to do all the covering Emma and he’s standing right next to her [them],” He says.
