“What I’m most happy about fans seeing is how much Wakanda is out there,” Duke explained. “There’s so much more to the first movie, and it’s exciting.”
Who is Namur?
Tenoch Huerta plays Marvel Comics antihero Namor in the character’s first live appearance. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever It is based on a story from the Marvel Comics universe where the Namor of Atlantis kingdom finds itself at odds with Wakanda, resulting in a clash that could develop into full-scale war. Huerta previously explained what fans should expect from Namor’s film debut.
“My personality is Namur and that’s what people can expect from Namur,” Huerta said. “He protects his people all the time. He takes care of them and is able to do whatever he has to do to protect them. If he has to cross the line, he will.”
During a Marvel Studios presentation at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, Huerta said, “It’s a huge honor. I came off the hood, and thanks to the embed, I’m here. I wouldn’t be here without the hood. Lots of kids are out there in the hood looking to us, and they dream of being here, and they will make it happen.”
