This year, many states have announced stimulus checks (Opens in a new tab) population in order to combat inflation and price hikes. Most of these payments will be sent to those who filed tax returns in 2020 or 2021, but different states have different eligibility requirements.
This extra money can help you pay for Thanksgiving dinner or save on gifts as the holidays approach, so it’s important to check to see if you qualify.
Additionally, if you haven’t filed your tax return yet, you could miss out on a $1,400 incentive check if you don’t do so by November 17.
Here are the countries to which stimulus checks were sent in November.
California
Stimulation Tests in California It’s been out in phases since early October, and more are scheduled to arrive before Thanksgiving. The second stage of payments was sent to those who had a Golden State Stimulus (GSS) debit card and had a last name beginning with A – E. These payments must be received by November 5th. After that, discount cards will be sent to those with last names between FM etc. Furthermore, if you plan to receive payments in the form of a direct deposit rather than a debit card, but do not qualify for GSS, then those payments will start sending on Friday, October 28. These should arrive by November 14th. See the chart below.

Colorado
Colorado residents who were at least 18 years old as of December 31, 2021 who were Colorado residents throughout 2021, and who filed a 2021 Colorado tax return were eligible to receive an inflation relief check for $750, or $1,500 for spouses. .
While most checks were received by September 30, if you receive an extension to your 2021 tax return and file by October 17, 2022, you can expect to receive a payment sometime by January 31, 2022.
Idaho
Idaho announced a $500 million income tax deduction for residents who were full-time residents who filed taxes for 2020 and 2021. Individual applicants will receive $300, and joint applicants will receive $600, or if greater, 10% of income taxes paid for the year 2020.
Residents will need to file their 2020 and 2021 individual income tax returns by December 31, 2022 to be eligible. Payments will begin processing from late September, with funds sent via direct deposit first followed by mailed checks shortly after. Payments will be processed throughout 2022 and early 2023, so your payments may arrive this month.
Illinois
If you are a resident of Illinois in 2021, you will receive a $50 discount. Couples who apply jointly will receive $100. Eligibility is determined if your adjusted gross income on 2021 taxes is less than $400,000 when filed jointly, or less than $200,000 if filed individually. Dependents will also receive $100 each, with a maximum of $3 or $300.
You will also be eligible for another deduction of up to $300 if you own a home in Illinois and make less than $250,000 or $500,000 if you file your taxes jointly. The issuance of checks began on September 12th, but it will take several months for all of them to be distributed, so it is likely that your checks will arrive this month.
who
Beginning in June, Maine began sending out $850 inflation relief checks. To qualify, you had until October 31 to file your tax return. You will need to file a 2021 income tax return as a full-time resident of Maine, as well as earn less than $100,000 for individual applicants, $150,000 for a head of household, or $200,000 for subscribers. Claimed dependents will not be eligible.
Payments initially started in June, but will continue to be sent to eligible recipients who have submitted their tax returns upon arrival.
Massachusetts
Massachusetts will send refunds equal to 14.0312% of Massachusetts’ 2021 income tax liability. Residents who have paid personal income taxes for 2021 are eligible to pay. Payments began on November 1, 2022 and will continue until mid-December.
New Mexico
In July, New Mexico sent tax credits to those who filed a 2021 tax return in New Mexico. It issued $500 to spouses applying jointly, heads of household, and surviving spouses making less than $150,000. Those who apply as individuals with an income of less than $75,000 can expect to receive $250.
However, New Mexico also issued another tax deduction, which was split into two payments. The first batches were distributed in May and June, the second in August. This rebate issued $1,000 to spouses who filed joint applications, heads of household, and surviving spouses, while $500 was sent to individual taxpayers.
However, if you haven’t received a payment, you can still once file your 2021 state tax return. You have until May 23, 2023 to do so. For those who have already submitted, depending on the time, a check may be on your way this month.
Pennsylvania
Homeowners 65 years of age or older, widows/widowers who are at least 50, and individuals with disabilities 18 or older will be eligible for a maximum deduction of $650. Individuals will need to register for the Pennsylvania property tax deduction/rent program by December 31, 2022, which means that payments will continue to be delivered through 2023 depending on when you file.
Virginia
Virginia sends exemption payments to residents with tax liability in 2021. Only individuals who apply are eligible to receive $250, while couples who apply jointly will receive a $500 rebate. To qualify, tax returns must be submitted by November 1. For those who filed by July 1, checks or deposits were supposed to be received by October 31. Those who submitted later will receive checks within four months of the date they were submitted, so depending on when you submitted your check could arrive this month.
