College Football Trouble Picks Week 11

Three teams ranked in the top six were eliminated last week, but how messy is your college football team predicting for Week 11?

The recipe for chaos last week in college football was always cooked up, but so rarely was it delivered as it did in Week 10. Tennessee was underdog but totally dealt with by Georgia, Alabama was mowed down by LSU in Death Valley, Clemson was attacked by Notre Dame, and much more. Fortunately for us, we’ve made four of our five college football picks for this week.

Now is the time to appear. Admittedly, the matches were just as exciting as they were last Saturday, but there are still some trap locations for highly rated teams as well as some obvious marquee matches.

Some of the games that won’t be part of the surprise Week 11 picks, though, are UNC in Wake Forest, Kansas State in Baylor, and TCU in Texas. This is because the lower-ranked or unranked teams in those home matches are already favored, and therefore do not meet the criteria required for real annoyance. Illinois facing Purdue and UCF hosting Tulane are also must-watches, but they don’t make the top 5.

What is our position on that? Let’s dive into our picks for college football for Week 11, Saturday’s hard-to-follow workday.

Dissatisfied college football team picks for Week 11: 5 teams in surprise alert

5. LSU . Tigers

Opponent: In Arkansas | Time: Saturday, November 12, noon ET | Spread: LSU -3.5

If it wasn’t obvious before, LSU’s dropping of Alabama last week proved that we’re looking at the fruits of Brian Kelly’s efforts in Baton Rouge right now. The Tigers started the year off a bit, but the loss to Tennessee seemed to put them on the right track and they had everything cooking.

Still, it was great that LSU turned around to the point where it gave depth to the roster. There’s no consistent running game outside of Jayden Daniels taking off from the center back, the defense is poor (although dangerous, especially on the edge) and there’s no overall talent level we’re used to seeing from the Tigers.

Now this team, on the heels of their massive win, is going to hostile Fayetteville to play an Arkansas team that should be excited to get back in shape after losing to Liberty last week. The Tigers seem like the better team, but this would be the perfect place to appear in a game of disappointment and chopping, thus ending their CFP chances.
