Dragon Ball Super announces return to Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Goku has found himself in a lot of life or death battles over the years as a superstar Dragon Ball A franchise, but it probably didn’t appear in the weird setting of Macy’s Day Parade where Super Saiyan Blue Goku has been a part of the scene for a few years. Now, ahead of the 2022 Thanksgiving show, Toei Animation confirms that “Goku Balloon” will return to float above the citizens below as journalists and TV personalities still struggle to pronounce “Super Saiyan.”

“Super Saiyan Blue” was a major part of Dragon Ball Super Since it was first shown during the battle of the Z-Fighters against the resurrected Frieza in resurrection, with Goku and Vegeta realizing that they need to switch the name after their original title, “Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan”, failed. While transformations like the original Super Saiyan came thanks to a combination of strength and rage, and Super Saiyan God came thanks to the pool of Saiyans, Super Saiyan Blue was another story, as achieving that level seemed to be simply a matter of training as far as fans know.

Dragon Ball: Super Saiyan Balloon

Toei Animation shared the big news that Dragon Ball Super He’ll return once more to Macy’s Day Parade for the 96th Thanksgiving extravaganza, joining some other pop culture icons, although the animation show, overall, is pretty small compared to other North American cartoon characters:

Super Saiyan Blue isn’t nearly as used as it once was during the current days of the Shonen franchise, with Goku also working on mastering Ultra Instinct and Vegeta going into his latest transformation he learned from the God of Destruction Beerus, known as Ultra Ego. Currently, after the big battles that took place during Granolah The Survivor Arc, the manga is on hiatus although news may arrive during this winter’s Jump Festa.

What other animation franchises would you like to become a part of Macy’s Day Parade? Do you think Goku Balloon will one day be switched from Super Saiyan Blue to Ultra Instinct?
