Iron Star Dominic Thorne Breaks Silence On Iron Man Connection After Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (Exclusive)

Like Captain America (Anthony Mackie) before her, Riri Williams (Dominic Thorne) is largely a legacy character, one who takes on the mantle of the superhero who has moved on. In this case, Williams/Iron Hart fills in the role of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) after the character sacrifice in Avengers: Endgame. In Marvel Comics’ source material, Iron Heart and Iron Man are closely aligned, with Williams using parts from old Iron Man suits to build her own style on armor.

While speaking with, the actor said that the live version of the character will in fact have some similarities to the comics version. However, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever The star tells us that fans will simply have to tune in iron heart On Disney+ next year to find out the exact connection between the characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“They’re definitely alike, but they’re definitely two independent expressions of this beautiful mind,” Thorne says of the comic and live-action stunts. “I think the answer to that is best left to the series next year, so this is where you should come in to get an honest answer to that question.”

The actor adds that the motivations between Williams and Stark are similar in that they built a suit because of the ambitious characters.

“I’m thinking of Riri creating this suit, or pursuing a build like that, I think there’s an inherent acknowledgment of what Tony Stark did by making this suit of armor,” Thorne adds. “I think for someone as ambitious as Riri Williams, it’s without a doubt something that catches your eye and gets your attention. As you can tell from the movie, that ambition would lead where it would lead, and this time it led her into lined up with him by making her very own suits of armor” .
