A frustrated Aaron Rodgers Act proves that his best days are behind him

Unfortunately, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been below his best form this season and appears to be past his prime.

Beloved quarterback Aaron Rodgers was once one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Just last year, he won his second straight NFL MVP award.

But he is, alas, now outclassed by such quarterback stars as Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. And honestly, it’s not even close.

Rodgers has had good seasons over the past two seasons, averaging a completion percentage of 69.8 on 8,414 yards for an average of eight yards per pass and 85 touchdowns. Mahomes had a slightly lower completion percentage and about 1,000 more yards receiving. Allen had roughly the same completion percentage as Mahomes and nearly the same yardage as Rodgers.

He still maintains a great completion percentage and amount of touchdowns, but his pass passing has been on a steady decline over the past few years.

This season, Rodgers has yet to record a 300-yard game. Players tend to lose skill as they age, and this seems to be happening unfortunately for Rodgers as he has played in the NFL since 2005, only with the Packers.

Rodgers’ time with the Packers may soon be over, and though it’s bittersweet, it’s essential to the team’s development.

The Packers should start considering their quarterback options

While they are certainly not the worst team in the league, they have lost a lot of steam over the years and have a lot of room for improvement. Rodgers has been reliable for many years, but he’s also losing steam and will certainly help move Green Bay in the right direction.

Rodgers isn’t a bad player and still makes an impact, but he shows many signs of slowing down and it’s best to be proactive and prepare a step-up backup or sign someone who can replace him when the time comes.

Unfortunately, Rodgers doesn’t pull off the same scores as the younger stars anymore, but his impact on the Packers franchise will always be noticeable.
