Dragon Ball Super shares its first look at Newark

Dragon Ball Super It’s preparing to finally end its hiatus and return with new chapters, and to celebrate the series, we’ve shared our first look at what fans can expect from the next big arc! When chapter 87 of the manga ended the Granolah the Survivor arc earlier this summer, fans were excited about all the potential places the story could go next. Unfortunately, there was an unexpected wait as the manga went on a long hiatus to properly prepare for the next new arc. Fortunately, the wait is over as the next arc of the series is finally near.

The official website of Dragon Ball Super She announced that the manga will return for new chapters, starting on December 20 with the 88th chapter of the series. This lines up with previous teasers that we’ll see a new arc for the series at some point in 2022, and the most exciting element of the announcement was the reveal of the first teaser image of what we can expect to see in the upcoming “Super Hero” arc. What comes next in Dragon Ball Super?

The official Dragon Ball website revealed that the next major arc of the series will be called the “Super Hero” arc. While this may mean that it relates to the events of the most recent feature film, Dragon Ball Super: Super Heroes, The only thing confirmed regarding the first look of the new arc is that Teenage Goten and Trunks will play a major role in it. Not only will it be the first appearance of this look in the manga, but it looks like they’ve had their looks changed for the occasion as well.

Getting the teens Goten and Trunks looks a lot like how they looked in Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero seems to be teasing that the next arc will take place around the events of the movie, but there are questions about what that could mean for the timeline from the manga. Since fans are still trying to place the events of the Galactic Patrol Prisoner and Granolah’s arcs within the overarching canon, this could be a way to help place them within the anime’s continuity.
