Priscilla Presley Breaks Silence on New Elvis Presley Actor After Austin Butler | Movies | entertainment

Production has just begun on a new biopic titled Priscilla, which is an adaptation of the memoirs by Priscilla Presley, Elvis and Me. The film is directed by Sofia Coppola – daughter of legendary filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. Of course, this story will retell the story of the King of Rock and Roll: Elvis Presley. However, a new actor comes in who takes on the role of the singer. Now, Priscilla has broken her silence on how she feels about this new version of Elvis.

Priscilla was recently tested by Variety about which movie will bring her story to the fore for the first time. However, she will also be portraying her ex again.

Elvis will be played by Jacob Elordi, best known for playing Noah in the Netflix series The Kissing Booth. The 25-year-old will follow the performance of Austin Butler in Elvis.

“Yeah, you know, he’s a great actor and a great actor,” Priscilla said of Jacob who plays Elvis.

Priscilla noted that Jacob was no doubt anxious about being appointed as the new version of the king. “I can only imagine him being a nervous wreck,” she said. “Like everyone else!”

Priscilla also spoke candidly about Sofia taking up her story. The 51-year-old filmmaker has built a solid career in her own right, directing pictures like Marie Antoinette, The Virgin Suicides, and Lost in Translation – which won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2004.

“I love Sofia and I love her film work,” said Priscilla. The 77-year-old showed little concern when she smiled at the reporter.

“I really think,” she said grimly. “I think it will be fine. I hope!”

While Priscilla was included in the recently released “Elvis,” portrayed by Olivia DeJonge, she was pushed to the sidelines a bit.

“At the time, I loved that he cared about me. He was very opinionated about what he wanted,” Priscilla previously said.

He would say to her, “I don’t like you that color. Brown isn’t good for you. Green looks awful, it’s a dull color without a spark to it.” In return, she did what was asked of her.

Priscilla continued, “I was a little 16-year-old kid, so I thought, ‘Oh, okay!’ It wasn’t until I was a little older that I started developing things that I loved.”

Even though Jacob acted out these horrific acts, he may not have received such strong praise from the Elvis family as Austin did.

Austin was venerated by both Priscilla and Lisa Marie Presley (daughter of Elvis). The first said, “After I saw the movie it was so emotional, my daughter felt the same way. Just because it made Elvis a T, I mean for a T.”

She added, “It’s unbelievable what that kid did, Austin Butler. He spent two years studying about Elvis, so it was a bit of a shock to watch.”

Lisa Marie said Austin “definitely” deserves an Oscar nomination. She said, “You know, I’m a little biased, but sure, 100 percent… I can look at it objectively too, sure. I think he did such a great job.” (sic)
