Rick and Morty’s Toy Plush website is the real thing

Rick and Morty completely broke through the fourth wall and explored a world full of meta-caption in the latest episode of Season 6, and it turns out that the website for a plush toy Rick Sanchez announced in the episode is a real thing Adult Swim put up for. Occasion! During the fourth season of the series, Rick and Morty find themselves trapped inside a “story train” filled with all sorts of potential stories that they could have gone on. It ended up giving a dedication to a website that fans could search to see a page for the Story-Train itself, and now the series has done it again.

Revisiting the external suspension on the road Rick and Morty He writes his episodes much like the Story-Train episode, “Never Ricking Morty,” in Season 4, the latest episode of Season 6 brings back many of these ideas and characters in fun ways. One idea that really brings this all full circle is the website “Rick-Plush.biz” in which Rick mentions where his stuffed toy is sold, and the website then reveals a hilarious “advertisement” for this game. Can you buy Rick’s fun new plush?

Episode 7 of Season 6, “Full Meta Jackrick”, reintroduces the Story-Train villain, Story Lord, to the series as he escapes from metaspace outside the series’ fourth wall into the “real” world of R.Ike and Morty Itself. Here the story master sees how ordinary the real world of his creator has become, and ends up devising a plan that forges a massive machine to steal the motives of the rest of the Earth. It’s a little complicated, but the catch here is that they go to a factory that makes Rick Sanchez merchandise.

After pointing out Rick’s plush being made in the factory earlier, Rick ends up taking down Lord’s story and thus the villain is killed by one of these plush. Rick gets an ad for the plush itself suggesting that fans can follow the website URL to purchase one themselves, and Adult Swim made sure curious fans had something to look for! Unfortunately, these plushies aren’t really for sale (they aren’t in this reality!), but it’s definitely fun to see the series go the extra mile for this one joke.
