Dragon Ball Super has kept fans waiting for the manga update long enough! Not long ago, netizens knew that the hit series was ready to return, and there were only a few weeks left before Jokou embarked on a new path. Now, the artist behind Dragon Ball Super is teasing the manga back, and we’ve got a look at Super Saiyan 3 Goku to get ourselves pumped.
The update comes from V-Jump where the latest magazine issue featured a special dedicated to Dragon Ball. Artist Toyotaro was there drawing Goku to celebrate the series’ return, and of course, fans were told the manga would be back by the end of December.

As you can see above, Super Saiyan 3 Goku’s artwork looks as fragile as always here. With long blonde hair thrown over his shoulder, Saiyan looks ready to take off, and Goku’s physique is incredibly toned. We may not see Super Saiyan 3 often in the manga, but it’s always good to see Toyotaro take shape.
What’s next for manga?
Even though this poster is about Goku, fans should know that Saiyan won’t be the focal point of the next Dragon Ball arc. Instead, it turns out that the series is ready to shift focus to Goten and Trunks. The two boys are about to grow up in the manga for a special bonding arc with Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero. Shueisha confirmed that the next Dragon arc will follow young adults as they become superheroes like Gohan before them. And of course, we’ll get some crossovers with the latest anime.

This new arc is set to start in December, so Dragon Ball Super fans can look forward to returning on vacation. The arc will begin around the time Jump Festa kicks off in Japan this winter, and of course rumors are circulating ahead of the event. Currently, some of the biggest rumors are that a Dragon Ball anime is set to be announced next month, but only time will tell if this report proves true.
