Why bother trying to go to a bowl game when you can beat your biggest competitor on Black Friday? Such are the stakes in Tucson the day after Thanksgiving this year. While the Wildcats have been much improved under Jedd Fisch, the Sun Devils have been shaking off a caretaker coach since Herm Edwards didn’t play to win the game against Eastern Michigan in September.

This is the most important event you will ever see from the Territorial Cup

There’s a reason you might have forgotten the Territory Cup was being played today. Yes, you probably knew North Carolina and North Carolina State were fighting it out, as well as the battle line going down at Como between Arkansas and Mezzo. While you may be intrigued by the sanctity of Special Teams and Defense from Cornucopia, the Territory Cup, you have ours!

The last time we saw any Arizona guy get too much of a fight in it, the Suns in 4 Guy mashed the brain of a poor Denver Nuggets fan with one perfectly placed uppercut at a time. In Arizona, it’s not about winning championships, but about entertaining people in between having fun at bars after sunset. Let’s just say Sparky and Wilbur gave people what they wanted.

In general, violence is never the answer, except in the content world, where the answer is 100%. Although life gets better when the pen is mightier than the sword, well, what happens when you have no ink and when you can barely see through the slit inside your anthropomorphic costume? Our prayers were answered. We just want to be entertained, dammit!

I mean, of course, the amulets will fight. They can’t talk. Otherwise, how are they going to solve anything?
