Another injury scare occurred on Friday AEW Rampage. During the ROH World Tag Titles Top Flight match against champions FTR, Dante Martin went down with a clear finger. Martin was immediately taken care of by the doctors on the first line.

In an update, the famous Anthony Bowens pointed out that Dante is “fine” after the intimidation.

This was a rare tag match for the Martins, as older brother Darius suffered a number of injuries that kept Top Flight out of tag action and forced Dante to pursue a singles career. Darius was shelved for the first time in February 2021 after tearing up his ACL, just four months after the duo signed with AEW. This put him out of action for over a year, as he wouldn’t return to AEW until this past March. The brothers would only work eight matches together until Darius suffered another leg injury after a car accident. Darius finally made his comeback earlier this month, teaming with his brother AR Fox to challenge Death Triangle for the AEW World Trios Championships.

“It was very difficult, especially just almost being thrown at fish, being thrown into sharks,” Dante said in 2021 regarding being forced into the singles competition. “It’s a pool or a pool. I feel like I’m doing really well at swimming now. Darius has been kind of my coach behind the scenes and he’s been helping me out a lot. Even though it’s a bad situation, we’ve made a good amount of it. I’ve trained to tag my whole career, And I came in as a marker. Darius and I have been together since I started this, so it was definitely a strange feeling to be in a different division.”
