The concept of Love and Thunder reveals a very different look for one character

Marvel Studios’ design department has given fans a new look Thor: Love and ThunderThe new character of the MCU. Chris Hemsworth’s hero has an adopted daughter by the end of the movie, and it looks like she’ll be around in the future. India Hemsworth played Love. Wielding the power of Eternity and Stormbreaker, the little boy was a force of nature at the end of the movie. Marvel’s Jon Staub gave a slightly older take on the heroine in some concept art shared on Instagram by Visual Development Director Andy Park. He explained how the team felt this version was a lot of fun, but that there were some tweaks to the final movie.

Park wrote, “Spread so much love on this day! Loved creating the design concept of Love for Thor: Love And Thunder taking nods from Gorr Design by Vis Dev artist @johnstaubart I figured coming up with a look that spoke to her spunky personality. before telling me she would be portrayed by Chris Hemsworth’s actual daughter, which I thought would be perfect.”

EW caught up with Gorr the God Butcher himself earlier this year to discuss Hemsworth’s young idea of love. As scary as a villain can be, it seems like the kids were trying their best to adapt.

“One of the most memorable things for me was working with India, with Chris’ little girl,” Bell said. “She was so great about it. But it was also so nice seeing your relationship, and you have to be like, ‘Who is this weird bald guy covered in scars and crying [me]? ‘ [I saw] What a good dad you are, he gently coaxed her through, like, “No, just stay there. I know it’s a little disgusting, but just stay there.”

As Tessa Thompson told Marvel.com there’s just something so cool about having this army of tiny Asgardians in place for the final battle scene. CGI itself can give way to the surreal, so it wasn’t out of the ordinary for things to get a slightly wacky portrayal.

“Most of the time, when you do fight scenes, you don’t fight anyone, [because of the CGI],” she told the site. You’re just walking around, battling the air, feeling like a kid, basically. Inviting kids into this experience really reminds you not only of who these movies are made of, in some ways, but also of how these movies were made, because kids naturally know how to play… These movies require a childlike nature in terms of performance. There is a lot of imagination. It’s like playing like a kid. You’re running around.”
