Russell Wilson’s “hurt” rumors extend to Ciara attending her birthday party

There have been rumors about quarterback Russell Wilson losing the locker room to the Denver Broncos in the midst of a disastrous season.

The Denver Broncos were expected to compete not only in the playoffs, but for the AFC West Championship. They hit it off with a trade for quarterback Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks. Instead, the team is 3-8 on the season and has scored less than 20 points as an offense in nine of those contests.

After their recent loss was highlighted by defensive lineman Mike Purcell yelling at Wilson on the sidelines, there have been reports of the quarterback missing the locker room.

especially,NFL Network insider Tom Bellicero said during “The Insiders” (19:20 mark) that Wilson “lost some people in that locker room.”

Well, according to Mike Cleese of 9News in Denver, Wilson’s wife, Ciara, hosted a birthday party for her husband on Tuesday night and “it looked like half the team was there.” It is important to note that Cleese states that the party was held on the player’s day off.

Returning to Bellisero’s report, the insider pointed out that coach Nathaniel Hackett, who could be very good after this season, has not lost his locker room. This is when Bellisero mentioned that Wilson lost the locker room.

That’s what Bellisero says, h/t Sports DNVR:

“One of the things I keep hearing about is, Nathaniel Hackett, for everything that went wrong, everything people are saying about his job at the moment, he hasn’t lost that locker room. Ross has lost some of the people around this team,” Bellisero said. Some people were lost in that locker room.”

“I have great relationships in the dressing room,” said Wilson. “So whoever is trying to tear it down, you can’t.”

Prior to the start of this season, the Broncos signed Wilson to a whopping five-year, $245 million contract extension. Through 10 games this season, Wilson has completed 58.9 percent of his passes for 2,369 yards, eight touchdowns and five interceptions.

There are six more games left on the Broncos’ schedule for the 2022 season. It will be worthwhile to keep track of their work in terms of roster changes, coaching staff and front office.
