Warner Bros. Discovery has been having a good month with the revelations that Henry Cavill will return as Superman and that there are writers currently promoting man of steel sequel. We also found out that James Gunn and Peter Safran are the new co-CEOs of DC Studios and that they’ll be revealing their plans to executives soon. Gunn is ending his stint with Marvel Studios with him Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3And while he’s finishing up post-production, it looks like he’s actually working on a secret DC Studios project. The director posted on Twitter and almost spoiled some of the songs that will appear in his secret DC project.
Gunn took to Twitter to reveal his annual Spotify wrap and had a small tease of DC Studios’ upcoming project. “Want to share my full #SpotifyWrapped BUT it has 2 songs in the top 5 from DC’s next secret project! But here’s what I can share…” You can check out his tweet below!

Gunn and Safran both kicked off their jobs as co-CEOs of DC Studios at the beginning of the month, and it’s safe to say DC’s future looks bright. When the duo was announced by the head of Warner Bros. New Discovery, they released a statement about their excitement for the job.
“We are honored to be the stewards of the DC characters we have come to love since we were kids,” John and Safran added in a joint statement. “We look forward to collaborating with the world’s most talented writers, directors, and actors to create an integrated, multi-layered universe that still allows for individual expression by the artists involved. Our commitment to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, and the rest of DC’s characters is only equaled by our commitment to the wonders of human possibility that these characters represent. We are excited to revitalize the theatrical experience around the world as we tell some of the biggest, most beautiful, most amazing stories of all time.”
The latest DC Film released in theaters was the Dwayne Johnson helmed Dwayne Johnson Black Adam. Black Adam Johnson will star and will also feature Aldis Hodge (Underground, The Invisible Man) as Hawkman, Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Charlie’s Angels) as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell (Trinkets, Euphoria) as Cyclone, Sarah Shahi (The L Word, Sex/Life) as Adrianna Tomaz, and Pierce Brosnan (GoldenEye, Mamma Mia!) as Doctor Fate. Ole Latokvu, Marawan Kenzari, Mohamed Aamer, James Kosati Muir and Buddy Saponjoy have also been selected.
