The original members of WWE’s Damage CTRL are revealed

Since their debut in WWE SummerSlamCTRL damage has been a staple of Monday Night Raw. The combination of Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY hit hard at the women’s division, holding the WWE Women’s Titles on two occasions. This trio was the brainchild of Bayley herself, who has said in previous interviews that she has wanted a faction for a number of years now. However, Bayley’s original idea of Damage CTRL had a completely different menu.

talking on to obtain more than Podcast, Dakota Kai revealed that Bayley originally conceived of the group consisting of Kai, Candice Larry, and Tegan Knox.

“When (Bailey) first mentioned it to me two years ago (ago), it was me, Candace Laree and Tegan (Knox),” Kay said. “Those were from the beginning. And obviously the things that have happened since then until now, everything changes.”

Based on when the faction was shown on TV, Bayley’s original roster cannot be a reality. at the time of WWE SummerSlamNeither LeRae nor Nox were under a WWE contract. LeRae has since returned to WWE as a member of the WWE raw list, but Nox is still very much in the indie scene.

Kai herself is breaking with the notion that some superstars can’t be brought into Damage CTRL due to their contract status, as the New Zealand native was released from WWE in April but was brought back under a new deal that began in WWE SummerSlam.

LeRae’s return as a babyface suggests WWE has different plans for her, but Nox is a different story. Although there is some desire to bring the Welsh wrestler back into the fold, Nox cannot legally achieve this at this time.

“Basically, because I didn’t get my visa or green card, I can’t wrestle,” Nox revealed last August. “I keep getting messages like, ‘Are you retired? “No, I can’t. Legally, I can’t. I’ve been relaxing, at home, playing video games. I went to Sad Summer Fest a couple of weeks ago, and it was exceptional. Dogs and friends. Normal things I could do without work” .
