TCU is one of only three undefeated FBS teams. Although the Horned Frogs are 12-0, they don’t hold the same oomph as undefeated teams and traditional powerhouses in No. 1 Georgia and No. 2 Michigan. While Georgia can lose to LSU in Atlanta and still get in, as can Michigan. vs.

Kansas State vs. TCU: Big 12 Championship Game Predictions

3. Win or lose, the Kansas State Wildcats are going to the Sugar Bowl, baby!

Regardless of the final outcome, one thing is certain: Kansas State will be heading to the Sugar Bowl for the first time in program history. The Wildcats are 9-3 (7-2) on the season, but the prospect of being 9-4 and Sugar Bowl bound couldn’t taste anything sweeter. This situation is based entirely on having Big 12 vs. SEC ties to the Sugar Bowl in years that it is not part of the College Football Playoff.

If TCU beats Kansas State, the Horned Frogs will go to the playoffs, and the Wildcats will go to the Sugar Bowl. Should K-State finish TCU’s perfect season, the Wildcats would still go to the Sugar Bowl. TCU can still get into the playoffs, but K-State cannot. Even if TCU loses, the Frogs will go to another New Year’s Bowl of Six, while Big 12 K-State will head to NOLA.

Unless LSU beats Georgia in Atlanta, Kansas State will face Alabama in the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
