Fortnite fans are counting down to the start of the season-ending Fracture event later this evening. The Fortnite end of season event has a release date of December 3rd and 9pm BST UK time. And the Fracture event not only marks the end of the season, but also marks the conclusion of Chapter 3 in its entirety. Needless to say, it’s shaping up to be a huge event, which is why Epic Games recommends logging in 30 minutes before the start of the festivities.
While it’s a good idea to sign in early to avoid missing out on the action and servers being shut down, fans who are already in-progress can join until 9:40pm BST.
If you’re not next to a PC during the event, you can play over the cloud with Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce NOW.
Epic describes the Fracture Event as an “unpredictable and unexpected social event” that can be played individually or with friends.
Alternatively, you can partner with fellow individuals via emotes with other players as you build.
Speaking of emotes, anyone who logs into Fortnite until 7.45am BST on December 4th will get a free Toasty Roast Emote.
The event will not be replayed, so anyone looking to post videos is urged to register Fracture to avoid missing out entirely.
The game is then expected to be offline for about 12 hours, as Epic maintains the server and prepares to introduce a brand new map and Battle Pass.
Needless to say, now is the time to level up your Season 4 Battle Pass in order to earn all the rewards.
This includes any reward patterns found in the Extra Rewards section of the Battle Pass menu. This season’s rewards include Celestial, Spectral, and Aurelian styles for Bytes, Lennox Rose, Paradigm (Reality-659), Meow Skulls, and Spider-Gwen Outfits.
Other bonus rewards can be unlocked by performing tasks, such as different styles of The Nothing’s Gift pickaxe, as well as the Herald outfit and accessories.
If you are unable to log in and earn more Stars, any unspent Battle Stars will unlock the first available Battle Pass rewards.
