Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 easter eggs, which are not between us

Marvel Studios and James Gunn finally gave us our first look at Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 During the CCXP Brazil committee that presented Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaAnd the Indiana Jones and the Dial of DestinyAnd the The Mandalorian And a host of other upcoming Disney releases. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 It looks like it’s going to be the most emotional movie in the trilogy, as the teaser trailer hints at some major events going on. In the trailer, we see the return of Gamora (Zoe Saldana), our first look at Lylla, and we even get our first glimpse of the live-action version of Adam Warlock (Will Poulter). While the teaser gave us a look at the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it didn’t do one thing that many fans thought would happen. Fans who have seen the trailer seem to think that the moment the Guardians don those multicolored astronaut suits, the movie is referring to the hit game Among Us but it seems that’s not the case.

A fan reached out to Gunn on Twitter asking him if the different colored astronaut suits refer to Among Us, and the director gave a short and sweet “no.” Besides Gunn’s no there was a photo of 2001: A Space Odyssey, which basically means that this scene pays homage to the legendary Stanley Kubrick movie. What does James Gunn do next?

Gunn and Peter Safran kicked off their jobs as co-CEOs of DC Studios at the beginning of November, and it’s safe to say DC’s future looks bright. When the duo was announced by the head of Warner Bros. New Discovery, they released a statement about their excitement for the job.

“We are honored to be the stewards of the DC characters we have come to love since we were kids,” John and Safran added in a joint statement. “We look forward to collaborating with the world’s most talented writers, directors, and actors to create an integrated, multi-layered universe that still allows for individual expression by the artists involved. Our commitment to Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, and the rest of the established DC characters is only equaled by our commitment to the wonders of human possibility that these characters represent. We’re excited to revitalize the theatrical experience around the world as we tell some of the biggest, most beautiful, most amazing stories ever.”

The latest Marvel Studios movie to hit theaters was Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. In the sequel, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), Mabako (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba) fight to protect their nation from interference by world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace the next chapter, heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. We haven’t yet seen where The Midnight Angels relates to the story.

The film stars Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden nation under the sea, and also stars Dominic Thorne, Michaela Cowell, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Levanale. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Exclusively in theaters now!
